Located in prime waterfront land in North Bay Village, The Continuum in North Bay Village will be the second eponymously branded project in Miami. The original two-tower property in Miami Beach’s swanky South of Fifth neighborhood was completed in 2008.
Ian Bruce Eichner, the chairman and CEO of Continuum Company, said in a statement “We envision North Bay Village the same way we once envisioned South of Fifth – with enormous potential for growth.”
Eichner’s New York-based Continuum Company acquired the 1.4-acre property at 1755 79th Street Causeway. An affiliate of B Developments sold the land, after securing site plan approval for a 31-story, 201-unit condo project on the site last year. The development will also include about 45,000 square feet of amenities. Bernardo Fort Brescia’s Arquitectonica is designing the building.
North Bay Village, a three-island municipality between Miami and Miami Beach, is poised to see significant development in years to come. Developers are taking advantage of the village’s 2020 zoning code overhaul that allows bigger projects.
Sales of the North Bay Village tower could launch by the end of this year, according to a spokesperson for Eichner.
Now marketed as the Continuum Waterfront District, this is a two-phase project by the Continuum Company (Ian Bruce Eichner) with Aksoy Holding, architecture by Arquitectonica, interiors by Durukan Design. Phase one (west) is 36 storeys with 236 residences, under construction on a $350 million financing package, delivering 2028. Phase two (east) — roughly 300 residences plus 96 hotel rooms and 114 hotel residences — is in predevelopment for 2030. The address is 1755 and 1819 79th Street Causeway.
