300 S. Pointe Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139 | Neighborhood: South of Fifth

When you tell people you live at Portofino Tower, they’ll likely know which luxury high rise you’re talking about. “Built in 1997, it remains at the peak of aesthetically pleasing design,” says Miami Beach Realtor Josh Stein. Its terra cotta colored walls rising 44 stories are complemented by blue glass leading into each residence. The result is an impressive effect when viewed from street level or the comfort of your own spacious balcony.

These units on Pointe Drive in South Beach range from one to five bedrooms and a spacious 1,000 square feet to a massive 5,600 square feet. All are outfitted with frosted glass cabinetry in the kitchens, complemented by white surfaces and stainless steel appliances. There is a separate breakfast area for a quiet morning. In the bathrooms, oversized jacuzzi tubs await. Generous closet space completes the bedrooms. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer an unfettered view of the city and sea below.

All residents will have use of the heated swimming pool overlooking Government Cut. There is a sauna, a steamroom, a fitness center, a spa, and tennis courts. You’ll have an individual entry foyer for your unit as well as individual storage spaces.

The fourth-tallest building in Miami Beach

Portofino Tower at 300 South Pointe Drive is 44 storeys and 484 feet, the fourth-tallest building in Miami Beach, completed 1996 or 1997 depending on the source. Thomas Kramer’s Portofino Group with Related Group. Eight floor plans running from 1,000 to over 6,000 square feet, entered through a four-storey lobby. The last verified trade is unit 3501 at $8.8 million, 5,450 square feet, roughly $1,615 per foot, in April 2023. Note: no reliable source publishes a confirmed unit count — the commonly-repeated 208 could not be verified. And the $60 million assessment often attached to “Portofino” belongs to Murano at Portofino, a separate building.
