2669 & 2675 S. Bayshore Drive, Miami, Florida 33133 | Neighborhood: Coconut Grove

Grove at Grand Bay is an astonishing feat of architecture, with two 20-story curvilinear towers, consisting of a total of 96 residential units. Each unit has a view of Biscayne Bay or Coconut Grove. Josh Stein says many prospective residents have become interested from the notion of a brand new address at South Bayshore Drive. Grove at Grand Bay places residents in one of the most historic and entertainment-filled neighborhoods in the city.

The project is conceptualized by designer Bjarke Ingels, the architectural wunderkind featured recently in The Wall Street Journal as “Innovator of the Year.” Completed in 2015, this is an opportunity to live in the newest building in a storied and attractive community. It’s just steps from CocoWalk, Peacock Park, Monty’s Seafood Restaurant, Grove Harbour Marina, the Fresh Market, and other Miami mainstays.

Each tower includes a rooftop swimming pool and another pool downstairs on the Great Lawn. There’s a tennis court, custom-built gym, private spa treatment rooms for yourself, and even a pet spa for your non-human friends. And we haven’t even mentioned the world-class service: Living at the Grove at Grand Bay means having a butler service and on-site chef.

Bjarke Ingels — the twisting towers

Grove at Grand Bay completed in 2016two 20-storey towers, 98 residences across roughly 634,000 square feet, developed by Terra (David Martin) and designed by Bjarke Ingels Group with Nichols Brosch Wurst Wolfe as architect of record. Each floor plate rotates around a fixed elevator core, which is why the towers appear to twist, and a stepped vegetated landscape replaces the usual parking podium. Recent trade: the lower penthouse at 2669 sold for $19.5 million in August 2024, roughly $1,930 per square foot across about 10,100 square feet.
