1111 Residences on Lincoln Road (pronounced as “eleven eleven”) is perhaps the most arresting residence on Miami Beach. It may even be the most unique condo in the world. Ultra-exclusive, with just five total residences, 1111 Residences was engineered by the world-renowned architecture firm Herzon & de Meuron in 2010 to be the brawny anchor to the west end of Lincoln Road. Designed with parking, retail, housing, and commercial space in mind, the property is jarringly austere and pleasing at the same time.

“There’s no place in Miami like it,” says Josh Stein, one of Miami Beach’s top selling Realtors, whose office is nearby. It’s been featured in international media, from Vanity Fair to travel books. The thing about 1111 Residences is that even though it looks like a concrete fortress, that’s just it’s brutalist facade: The condos are really incredibly comfortable, with a big private and leafy courtyard within and enormous residences. These homes start at just above $1 million.

According to the developers, the “light filled living spaces offer a soothing retreat.” They’re spacious and modern, with a lot of sophistication. Stein says these residences are extremely private. They all feature 24-hour security and private elevator access.
