On the record: PROFILEmiami reported on 4 November 2026 that Bal Harbour Shops announced its West Shops on 3 November 2026: about 200,000 square feet of new retail and dining, fully leased, with 30 boutiques and flagship stores and openings running through 2028.
Who is coming
The property named Tom Ford, Khaite, Elie Saab and Boucheron as new arrivals, joining tenants such as Chanel, Prada, Gucci, Saint Laurent, Balenciaga and Brioni (PROFILEmiami, 4 November 2026). Matthew Whitman Lazenby, president and CEO of Whitman Family Development, said the expansion also makes room for existing brands to move into larger spaces, per the same report.

The numbers, from the property
The property reports annual gross sales approaching $1 billion, up 35 percent since 2020, and $2,000 to $3,000 a square foot (PROFILEmiami, 4 November 2026). Those are the property’s own figures, and they cover the whole center, not only the new wing.
On food, the announcement points to Jeffrey Chodorow’s China Grill and Stephen Starr’s Slim’s, alongside Carpaccio, Makoto and Avenue 31 Café, and reports nearly $70 million a year in dining revenue (PROFILEmiami, 4 November 2026).
The housing and hotel plan is separate
Whitman Family Development is still pursuing a separate project with market-rate homes, workforce rentals, a boutique hotel and more retail, under Florida’s Live Local Act. PROFILEmiami reported on 4 November 2026 that the announcement describes it as proposed, not as an approved part of the new wing, and gives no approval milestone or construction start date.
Why I looked
Bal Harbour is one of the areas I cover, and the Shops are a big part of why people want to be there. A new retail wing does not tell you what a condo is worth, so I am not drawing that line. What I can show you is the record: what Bal Harbour condos have actually sold for.
