Developed in the 1960s by renowned industrialist Arthur Vining Davis, Gables Estates consists of just 170 Miami waterfront homes for sale. With private patrols and 24-hour security, the private and gated community is closely guarded and provides the highest level of protection and privacy for its residents. This security includes 24/7 armed guards at both entrances and exits, 24-hour patrol cars, and surveillance and state-of-the-art cameras, including night vision.

The homes in Gables Estates range from palatial Mediterranean style estates to modern minimalist designs and oftentimes properties start above $10M and can go up to $50M. With a few exceptions, all of the homes are located on large waterfront lots of at least an acre. Many of the homes have unobstructed views over the open waters of Biscayne Bay and the homes located on the inlets and canals are just a short distance to the open ocean with no bridges. Most of the homes in Gables Estates are extremely large with the majority of the homes being well over 10,000 Sq.Ft. situated on expansive waterfront lots.

Potential residents of Gables Estates are required to join the Gables Estates Club when purchasing a home. The homeowners association process requires a non-refundable $100,000 deposit, a thorough background check and financial background check. The annual HOA fee at Gables Estates is $7,500 per year which covers 24 hour security, landscaping of common areas, maintenance and salaries for staff.

Gables Estates is located at the southernmost section of Coral Gables, just off the scenic Old Cutler Road. It’s a short drive to the charming downtown Coral Gables and Merrick Park, where you can find great restaurants, boutiques and upscale shopping. Boutiques and cafes line Miracle Mile and Ponce de Leon Boulevard. Gables Estates is also an easy drive to Downtown Miami, Brickell, Design District and the Miami International Airport.

There are excellent public and private schools nearby and the University of Miami is just a short 15 minute drive away. In the past few years, there have been some very substantial sales in Gables Estates. In September 2020, 150 Arvida Pkwy in Gables Estates sold for a whopping $33M. The 6 bedroom/ 7.5 bath majestic Tuscan-inspired villa, designed by Rafael Portuondo features the finest in finishes and smart technology. The home is situated on 62,000 Sq.Ft. boasting 200-feet directly on Biscayne Bay, plus another 200-feet on a protected inlet with a private dock and boat lift.
