Lately, I’ve heard talk from New Yorkers saying that buying Real Estate in Miami is so cheap. That may be true compared to NYC or London, but the prices in Miami are far from cheap.
For example, if you want to live in South Beach, you might be able to find a decent condo for under $250k. But most likely this apartment will be very small, won’t have central AC, and will be a complete fixer upper. Many agents and realtors I know are getting multiple offers on the best priced properties and the local market is very strong. But in real estate, everything is about location. So, of course, you can find much cheaper properties in less desirable locations, just as you can in any other part of the world. But if you want to live in the best parts of Miami, it’s not cheap.
How Much Does a Realtor Make in Miami?
Good realtors in Miami can make millions of dollars in sales commissions per year and this is especially true now as more wealthy people make Miami their home. But for the most part, the majority of Miami realtors earn less than $50k per year.
