Neighborhood Location

By Day:

The Design District is a dynamic Miami neighborhood known for its high-end designer boutiques, world-class restaurants and creative services agencies. Living in the Design District is a fun lifestyle: close to the city center, to the coffee shops and studios of the Arts District, the entertainment venues of Downtown Miami and within a block or two from the main bridge to Miami Beach. That also means that wherever you work in the city, you’ll have a fairly easy commute. But there are also plenty of job opportunities in the Design District itself, particularly for those in the fashion or design industries.

By Night:

The Design District comes alive at night. This trendy neighborhood is renowned for its shopping — with Christian Louboutin, Prada, Louis Vuitton and Hermes all within walking distance of each other. But once you’ve worked up an appetite with retail therapy, you can replenish your strength at one of the district’s world-class restaurants. Mandolin bistro is one of the area’s favorites.

Where To Live:

The Design District hasn’t traditionally been known for its real estate, but lately more and more developers are taking interest in the booming appetite for unique new spaces to live, work and play. Pre-construction locales, including Baltus House and the exciting — and wild-looking — Sweetbird South Residences are just two high-end examples. The nice thing about the Design District is that it’s a charming little neighborhood with lots to offer in a close space; you really can’t go wrong.

You May Also Like:

The Design District is a close companion to the Wynwood Arts District and Midtown Miami, two other neighborhoods that comprise the broader Arts District, situated in an area north of Downtown Miami. For high-end shopping and quaint residences, South Beach also comes to mind. But Coconut Grove and certain parts of Miami Beach can give you the same high-end creative vibe.
